It's Tick Time
If you go out in the woods today, you may need my tick hunting advice:
Rule #1:
Do you feel a crawling sensation anywhere on your skin? That, no doubt, will be a tick. You had better check.
Rule #2:
Remember, ticks anaesthetize when they bite. Are there any places on your skin where you don't feel a crawling sensation? That will be a tick biting you!

Another hike the other day
The view was good
with some interesting points. We weren't out for all that long, and it wasn't hot, so I was a little surprised
when the slavering beasts with whom we keep company took down a small browsing snowpatch
and proceeded to feast upon it with shameless vigor.
