Departure Morning

Our last morning at Limestone Lakes. It rained early but was clearing off by sunrise which made for some nice shooting.

Much mouse-on-a-stick

Steam rises as someone douses the campfire. I've already left camp because I wanted to stop for extra photos on the way out.

Candle over the walrus nose

Soggy flowers in the morning sun. A photographer's favorite camping treat.

The top of the ascent on the way out of the valley. Despite my early start, I'm the last one up.

Last look. Some people did not want to leave.

Another Lake

I didn't get to this one, just saw it from above. There are so many lakes in the area that I only got to half of them.

Glacier

The glacier, hanging between the two Northern peaks of Mt. Russell

The snow on the glacier was often coated with pink algae, which contrasted nicely with the light blue meltwater.

The glacier has a rather gritty toe
