Hedley Ruins Portrait #8

Hedley Ruins Portrait #7

Hedley Ruins - The Machinery

More pictures from the Hedley ore reduction plant.

The ore tipple, at the top of the site

Ore car

Plate from the ore crusher (we think). There is not much left of the crusher.

Rotary sluice.

The majority of the plant must have consisted of these huge drums.

Mounting for the unknown machine

This large hopper sits at the bottom of the site. Waste material, perhaps?

Skaha Bluffs

Our latest little walk was at Skaha Bluffs, just South of Penticton. From across the lake, it just looks like a bunch of round, rocky hills. Up close, it becomes a serious rock climbing destination.

Don't worry. We just nosed around...
We didn't go anywhere serious.

The fall colours look good on those rocks.
