Three Days in Elf Mode

We just made one of these Matthias Wandel designs as a Christmas gift. Better photos later. We were too busy working to pay attention, and some of them blurred.

Materials were mostly cherry, maple and juvenile (undarkened) walnut with a few pieces of black locust, apricot and spalted birch thrown in. The finish is a beeswax and mineral oil mix. Again, I must get some better photos. It looks better live.

Upon delivery.

We used about 9 man days (and a double handful of volunteers) to build it, but we are slow. You could do it faster. It's fun - go ahead, try it!

Just another walk...

...in one of our regular places.

Shining Similkameen

To my Alberta readers: winter has arrived here. You won't have to revoke our Canadian status.
I have no winter pictures yet, and I'm behind on the autumn stuff.

Oroville

On a little shopping trip to Washington

Some day we will stop and photograph the sandhills properly

It was a bit hazy, but you don't get good reflections every day.
