Beyond the core sample shed there is a quarry...

Wherein water collects...

And that an enterprising - or perhaps odd - soul has sown goldfish in it.

Bob Creek

A few shots from Bob Creek Wildlands - one of my favourite places. Unfortunately, no good pictures of the Whaleback this time. I'll have to go again some day.

Bike Town

I got to watch my friend, Mark, compete in the Tears & Gears foot/bike race in Fernie, BC.

He's the one in blue, below. The cyclists are waiting for their running partners to give them the tag.

My photos of the race were poor. As a substitute, I took a few shots of the coal based soil in the area...

Fernie is seriously dedicated to mountain biking. All of the walking paths in the area seem to have bumps, berms and jumps all over them.

And then there is the bike park...
