Photography is Hard

I was told that we are supposed to go out in rainstorms and wait for them to clear.

There are supposed to be wonderful, dramatic, glorious light effects as the sun pokes through.

But something went wrong with the process, and all we got were these soggy wildflowers.

Hey, we tried. Do we get to give up now?

I love photography at an amateur level. I have 100s and 100s of photos on Flickr.

No, you do not give up. But I thought the picture looked really nice. Perhaps you misunderstood what sort of beauty you were told you would get after a rain storm. :-)

Dave,
How do you find time for a blog and Flickr? I haven't tried Flickr or Picasa myself. I'm still enjoying the blogger format - including its challenges. Habits die hard for some of us.

Emily,
You know the most important thing about photography, I think. As for giving up; between worrying that we will quit, please remember to worry that we are becoming hopeless addicts. :-)
