This spring the Okanagan Valley, North of us, was flooding. We had our own little flood when Manuel Creek opted to flow down the middle of Daly Drive.
The creek came down through an orchard before it reached the road.
Here you see it flowing down Daly Drive...
Before which it crossed Upper Bench Road, leaving a tasteful sprinkling of debris.
We came out prepared to play in the watreport on the disaster, of course.
Water jumping over pebbles on the road.
The water leaves the road at the bottom of the hill.
The water spread nicely over the whole road, making a flowing layer that was less than an inch deep.
We went up to the mouth of Barcello Canyon to explore the source of the diversion. Some erosion was suffered by the hiking trail.
We normally walk there!
