Peelings

Arbutus trees, shocking to the watcher of normal trees, will peel out of their bark routinely and without provocation.

I suppose this allows them to play dead at will. Don't worry; they're perfectly healthy.


They lend a color to the coastal landscape that we miss out on in the rest of BC.
