This is the land of stone fences. You find them everywhere.
The tops of the moor are peat bog. If the ground is grassy, it might be dry. Mossy, and water will soak up out of it even if it looks dry. Peat is like a giant sponge.

I can't get enough of wide pastoral views such as this. Wildly beautiful. Moors have always enthralled me. And those stone fences, oh my!
