Sheepfold

We found this sheepfold out in the hills. It is exceptional for its impeccable dry fit stonework. I suppose the nice square rocks helped, but nonetheless someone put an incredible amount of care into it.

On the same site, oddly enough, we noted the universality of binder twine, AKA 'haywire', in farm construction work.

And out in the middle of nowhere, high on the hills of County Durham.
