For reasons not known to me, a waterfall in the border country is often called a 'Force'. The river in question is called the River Tees. I doubt that it is named such because of the tea colored water that flows in it. The water has spent quite a bit of time soaking in peat up in the hills before flowing out in the river.

Interesting. That peat colour is not especially attractive in water, haha, but the falls, themselves, are lovely.
But what could possibly be wrong with that colour? :-)
Our favorite mountain lake when we were growing up was brown like that. The trout that came out of it were also dark. We thought it was great! We *were* young though.
