City of Sleeping Bicycles

 Oxford is very bicycle oriented.

You see bicycles everywhere

Lots and lots of bicycles!

We also noticed that most of the bicycles were older. You would often hear them creaking and rattling as they went past.

Evidence is that the old bicycles form a dominant culture in Oxford. If a new bicycle comes to town they form a mob, beat it up and steal its seat and tires.

 

 The old bicycles don't get it all their way, though...

This one is evidently looking down in the mouth because it is about to be fined for swimming in the canal.
