Haweswater

We hiked High Street in the Lake District from the parking lot on Haweswater. There were too many nice photos for one post, so the bottom of the hike - near the lake - is posted here.

I like this shot a lot...

But can't quite decide...
 which foreground is better.

Haweswater covered a village and some farms when its dam was built. Here you see some stone walls trailing off into the lake.

It was a very hazy day. I had to fight to get the whiteness out of some of the pictures. This one ended up with a rather stylized look as a result.

 Stone trail markers

Doesn't that stone fence wandering off into the haze just make you want to hike up there?
