Freshwater Bay is a gentle crescent with a rock on each tip. The end that we walked on has chalk cliffs.
Chunks of chalk in the surf
As I mentioned, the chalk has dotted black lines in it. The dots are clusters of something that looks like obsidian.
Wave action has formed scallops on the beach.
A 'flower pot' on the tip.
The rock on the other end of the bay.
We walked up to the top of the cliff to eat our supper and watch the sun set. From the cliff, you can see the beach scallops more clearly.
Gulls on the flower pot.
A nice view of the black dotted lines.
